Built by the Royal Huisman Shipyard, Gliss was launched in June 2006.
This boat is designed with the deck saloon as the focal point. This zone is completely sheltered by the permanent roof which opens to allow direct access to the sun bathing area and the aft deck. To improve ventilation, the side windows are positioned low. The hull length and mid section are perfectly in proportion with the coach roof, the result is a well-balanced and sleek design. Adding to her high performance is the hull which has been designed with a high prismatic coefficient. Inspired by America’s Cup Class designs, her keel has a separate bulb and trim tab. The carbon mast is 41 m high over the deck and the 130% overlapping genoa jib gives an upwind sail area of 560 m² and results in excellent performance even in light air. The interior is designed by Pieter Beeldsnijder. The spacious owner’s suit is situated towards the rear and there are a further four cabins for guests.
