Mari-Cha III was built by Sensation and Marten Marine in New Zealand.
The owner’s requirements were not only a luxurious and comfortable, but also high performance cruising boat, the fastest in her category. In order to obtain a yacht with a modern and dynamic style, specific care was taken with the design of all lines and details on deck. Refitted in 2005, her accommodation includes three large guest cabins, a large saloon, a crew area for 8, as well as a garage for the tender located in the transom. Located above the central engine room, the pilot house is protected by a styled coachroof which offers an excellent watch position, a fully equipped navigation area and raised seating. Designed by the award winning John Munford, the interior decoration is classic in style, with mahogany veneers. Mari-Cha III is the largest performance yacht, sailed entirely by hand. The reason why a split sailplan was chosen: the winches may be driven hydraulically or by means of pedestals. As well as being an incredibly comfortable yacht, Mari-Cha III is also extremely exciting to sail. She beat the Transatlantic Record in 1998; making the voyage in just 8 days 23 hours 59 minutes and 43 seconds.
