Sustainability

Philippe Briand is one of the founders of the Water Revolution Foundation.

MISSION:
Water Revolution Foundation is the first independent, international, science-driven, non-profit organisation started from within the superyacht industry that is taking the lead to neutralise its ecological footprint and preserve the world’s precious oceans. Water Revolution Foundation’s mission is to drive sustainability in the superyacht industry through collaboration and innovation and leading the way to neutralise its ecological footprint and preserve the world’s precious oceans.

APPROACH:
In order to accelerate the focus on, and adoption of, sustainable technology, Water Revolution Foundation will take a very constructive and collaborative approach. By providing the superyacht industry with tools, information, knowledge and sharing best practices, Water Revolution will be the central platform facilitating the shift towards neutralisation of our ecological footprint. While doing so, we will also activate the superyacht industry to support ocean conservation programmes and help to select the most impactful ones. Healthy oceans are not just securing the future of the yachting industry, they are vital for the planet’s well-being and everyone’s personal health.

CHALLENGE:
In the superyacht industry, we are accustomed to being challenged by our clients and achieving the unthinkable. Now is the time to challenge ourselves and work together to make this happen.

Sustainable Development Goals

We are focused on Clean water and sanitation, Responsible consumption and production, Climate Action and Life under water.

Eco Yacht Design. Briand’s self-sufficient sailing yachts may also appeal to owners who wish to minimise their impact on the environment while cruising. The efficient hull form characteristics of Briand’s designs mean that more power could be harnessed through underwater turbines to charge the batteries on board.
